Chesterfield School is seen in May of 1964. Thousands of Lancaster students attended here over the years, which was located on Chesterfield Ave.
Today, a part of the school still stands. Above is the L&C, Railway, Main St. and Builders Supply.

This was the year I was a first-grader at Chesterfield.
ReplyDeleteMy father would have been the only principal at Chesterfield Ave. had he not retired a year before it closed. Had he known this, he would have waited another year to retire. My dad was Mr. C.D. Williams.
