An aerial view of the former Lancaster High School and current day Lancaster Square. The by-pass can be seen in this image at top under construction.
The groundbreaking for the school was in the summer of 1955 with the opening in the fall of 1956. It cost just $427,000.00 to build the 57,000 sq. ft. building.
It was torn down in 1993 to make way for the new high school. (Photo by Lavoy Studio/Image on File with Travis Bell Photography)
