First Methodist Church - Gay and Catawba Streets - 1956 - Lancaster SC Photos
A 1956 view of First Methodist Church, located at 200 W. Gay St. This is the intersection of Gay and Catawba streets looking north.
Lancaster professional photographer Lavoy Bauknight took this photograph and was also flying the plane at the same time. Bauknight did not like how he couldn't get the exact angle he wanted from hiring pilots for aerials so he got his pilot's license in order to fly the plane exactly like he wanted for shots like this one.
